We reviewed the available literature to summarize overall potential effects forest habitat disturbances on dormice ecology and population parameters. took into consideration influence structure, area size fragmentation, vegetation biodiversity, forestry treatments, development road networks. The vast majority studies have only examined two species, hazel edible dormouse, while ecological requirements conservation priorities forest, garden, Japanese rarely been studied. There has substantial increase in number studies; however, many aspects their still unknown. current state knowledge points essential role complex vertical structure providing arboreal movement corridors safe nesting places for species. Moreover, species cavity dwellers that depend presence old trees nest boxes, which could ambiguous effects.
